$30.00
Sold Out

This listing is for a private one-on-one sewing lesson!

Things that we can cover during a private lesson:

  • learn to use your sewing machine (we will go over threading, winding a bobbin, using different stitches, etc.)

  • learn all of the above on one of the shop machines

  • learn to use a sewing pattern (preparing your pattern, cutting and marking your fabric, etc)

  • learn specific techniques like buttonholes, zippers, darts, pockets, etc.

You will choose the topics covered in your private lesson based on your current skill level and what you would like the learn! Lessons are available by the hour- I reccomend a 2 hour lesson to get started. Once you purchase a lesson I will contact you to schedule a time. I have availability on weekdays, weekends, mornings and afternoons, so we will find a time that is just right for you! Private lessons are typically booked out 2-4 weeks after purchase.

These lessons include use of shop machines, scissors and cutting mats, shop notions like pins, clips, marking tools and chalks, any of the fabric in the class bins (some scraps, some yardage), and private instruction from Erika.

What you should bring to the lesson: bring your machine if you have one and want to learn to use it. If you want to work on a specific project please bring the pattern, fabric and any notions needed for the project. The classroom can be chilly, so dressing in layers is recommended. Closed water bottles or beverages and snacks are welcome!
